We’re looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.
Procure, coordinate and manage all required service providers necessary to achieve project completion on time, within budget and in accordance with objectives. Lead construction management process through the entire development life cycle including site plan approval and building permits, design, pre-construction and construction phases; reviewing and monitoring project schedules in order to track progress of all sites under development in conjunction with the planners, architects, construction managers, interior designers and other third party consultants; maintaining project files and follow-up of all correspondence and communication with external parties, including Municipalities and City officials. Participate in the pre-construction phase including land pursuits/assessments, due diligence and land closing, zoning, re-zoning, severance and registrations as required and any required presentations and related liaison with stakeholders, lawyers, vendors and consultants. Managing the procurement elements of the pre-construction, construction and post-construction through to occupancy. Negotiate terms and conditions of all contracts for service and ensure changes in scope and timing of associated deliverables comply with the respective obligations. Oversee the transition of each development project from its design and construction phases to the fully operational property conclusion including completion of all related closeout details/documentation. Review/challenge/explore cost reduction opportunities for every project by working closely with development team and operations – continuous assessment of more expedient or economical approaches to improve business model; creative thinking and problem solving critical
10 years of successful residential construction management experience with a focus on high-rise construction. Creative thinker with excellent communication and analytical skills and strong leaderships skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and problem solve. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Be proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
