Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia
We are seeking a part-time, long term, live-out nanny for our 1 year old daughter in January 2021. We live in Upper Lynn (Lynn Valley), North Vancouver.
Hours: 7:45am – 5:15pm (some flexibility here), 3 days a week, Monday / Tuesday / Friday
- open to Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday for the right fit
Start date: January 18, 2021
- we are hoping to spend a few [paid] transition days together the week of January 11, 2021
Required:
- A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to positive parenting philosophy
- A commitment to outdoor activities and education (we live adjacent to Lynn Headwaters Park system, close to Kilmer Park and Lynn Canyon)
Preferred:
- ECE or ECEA designation (open to equivalent experiences or designations)
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
Tasks:
- teach, read, play, explore outdoors
- tidy spaces post-play
- light meal prep and assist in feeding our daughter (lunch, late afternoon snack)
- tidy spaces post-meal
- naptime routine
- diapering (eventual assistance with toilet training)
- supervise/facilitate playdates (post-COVID)
Other Notes:
- My husband and I will both be working from home (private workspaces) until it is safe to return to working downtown
- My parents will be caring for our daughter on Wednesdays and Thursdays – the candidate would have to be comfortable with this slightly extended ‘bubble’
- We are looking for someone who maintains a small ‘bubble’ and practices conservative approaches to COVID-19 safety
Salary: commensurate with experience and designation
