Elder care Job in Burlington, Ontario
Seeking a live-in caregiver in Burlington: Looking for a kind, caring, thoughtful and reliable caregiver to help take care of our dad. He is an 87 year old man with all of his mental acuities, a very kind heart, but needs help with daily activities and minor medical assistance. He lives with my mom who is also 87, and in very good medical condition. Mom is a very kind, optimistic and fun lady, who would love some help around the house.
Specific tasks for our dad include: help getting dressed/undressed, administration of medications, change of catheter bag in morning and evening, some help moving about the house as he currently uses a walker and other PSW related duties. Additional duties for him and my mom include light house chores, cooking, grocery shopping, laundry and running errands.
Most important trait is a kind and friendly demeanor to be a part of their daily companionship.
Accommodation is in South Burlington in a 4 bedroom house on a tree lined street with access to your own bedroom, bathroom and shower. Close proximity to the waterfront and shopping.
Need a Driver’s licence as we have a car available for you.
Notes On Availability:
We are hoping for a live in situation at first while he wears an antibiotic pump 24 hours, then could become full time days. We have a nurse that comes in to look after his antibiotics.
