Early childhood educator Job in Calgary, Alberta
It is our firm belief that early childhood education (ECE) is critical for our daughter’s development. We were fortunate to locate an educator with this background. Her view of working with our daughter: “I have seen great development in your daughter – in the last 3 months she has become potty trained, has started identifying site words and can stay focused for an entire 90 minute class. Considering the leaps and bounds we have seen, I would strongly encourage you to continue working with her as we have been, applying ECE skills.”
We are only looking for educators who have strong ECE or education and experience.
As mentioned above, our daughter is developing very quickly. We would like to maintain that momentum, and our current private educator has found working with her to be a welcome change from prior experiences in a school, as we gave her full reign in terms of exposing our daughter to a variety of educational experiences.
While we promote structure, we are very flexible and willing to incorporate your ideas and suggestions to help with our daughter’s education. We think this will give you a chance to co-create our daughter’s learning pathway, and develop habits and routines that will set her up for success.
Our daughter is very engaging and a quick study, so you will get to see the payoff of your applied knowledge. Our current educator has found it to be very rewarding to see nearly instant progress when teaching our daughter new skills or knowledge.
We are looking for someone who believes that a key goal is to activate our daughter’s natural interest in learning, and that her education should prepare her for all aspects of life. She is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning, and we have tried to encourage this by setting up a prepared learning environment. We have enrolled her in online classes that are designed to develop many aspects – physical, social, emotional and creative. We want her to feel encouraged to explore and discover.
Our current Nanny says “I have really enjoyed being able to apply my years of education, and appreciate this unique chance to focus on a child’s development.”
We were very fortunate to find our last educator quite quickly, and we will move fast when we think we have found the right candidate, so we encourage you to reach out as soon as possible if you feel you fit this profile.
Since we are looking for very specific qualifications, we are prepared to pay above-market pay (for only one child), including 2 weeks’ paid vacation and paid statutory holidays.
Due to COVID-19, we will only be able to hire an employee that has vehicle, so that we minimize our exposure and risk.
