Basic knowledge of the English language is sufficient
Credentials:
Class 1 or A is required
Air Brake Adjustment Certificate is required

BC, Canada to California, USA
(Occasionally, other states in the USA)

Criminal record check, medical exam, and drug test required

Primary duties of a Long-Haul Truck Driver are, but not limited to:
Operate and drive straight trucks to transport goods and materials
Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, and turn signals, brakes, and cold storage
Ensure cargo is adequately secured following safety requirements and follow safety procedures.
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain logbooks
Communicate with the dispatcher, other drivers, and customers using communication devices and onboard computers, hands-free cell phone
Drive as part of a two-person team
