MAINTENANCE PRODUCTION SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The production maintenance worker maintains and repairs the organization’s production equipment and other machinery (e.g., conveyors, packaging).
MAINTENANCE PRODUCTION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts and conduct tests to ensure that repairs are satisfactory
- Monitor performance of machinery and equipment; adjust and calibrate as needed, ensuring that equipment meets specifications and requirements
- Periodically perform basic diagnostic tests and preventive maintenance, in accordance with prescribed schedules; adjust equipment and reset or calibrate sensors and controls to specs
- Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
- Test damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are needed
