Along with efforts to increase UK border security after Brexit, the UK government has announced a set of rules, together with the extension of the UK visa waiver program. Further efforts to protect UK borders include a recently introduced points-based immigration system, passport obligations and investment in infrastructure and technology.

A UK government statement mentioned that: “We need to hit upon a balance between amplifying UK border security and making sure that Britain stays a charismatic destination for the world’s top talent and travellers.
