Job Introduction

The Workday Functional Lead will be responsible for leading a global team of Workday functional support analysts, as well as driving process improvements & change initiatives. Workday modules include: Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Benefits (NA).

Major Responsibilities

Manage a small global team of Workday functional analysts – leading, mentoring, and counseling members of the teamEnsure day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projectsDevelop and promote continuous learning within the support teamProvide Workday subject matter functional expertise for day to day support and development including business process configuration, data upload (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting supportProvide Workday product expertise in the areas of Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Benefits (NA), and custom hierarchy designProvide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and partner with clients to understand pain points, prioritize requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionalityAssist with bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality and cross functional analysisLead functional projects and configuration activities for enhancements and new functionality in the HCM areaMaintain awareness of Workday future releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future HRIS functionalityAssess, manage, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issuesWorks closely with the Workday Integration/Reporting Manager to ensure business needs are metWorks closely with third party vendors for AMS support, and for testing support (Kainos, Jira, TestRail)

Knowledge, Work Experience & Education

3 to 5 Years of Work-Related ExperienceCompletion of University Degree

Skills and Competencies

3-5 year’s hands on Workday functional experienceProject management experience with global Workday projectsUnderstanding of Workday implementation methodologyStrong attention to detailStrong verbal and written English communication skillsStrong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to manage confidential and sensitive employee informationAbility to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situationProven leadership skillsProven skills managing a global team, and leading, mentoring, counseling and managing their performance and training needsExcellent collaborator and a team playerWell-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defectsAbility to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolutionUnderstanding of HR operations and experience in employee data managementAbility to understand business priorities and align technology opportunitiesAbility to set priorities in a fast-paced environmentFocus on quality and customer servicePreferred: Workday Functional Certifications; Workday Pro certification in one or multiple HCM modules, broad understanding of Workday cross functional touchpoints and their impacts within the Workday platforms, AMS experience
